OUR YEAR OF GROWTH & RECONSTRUCTION

Over the past eight years we have carried out various community initiatives like the primary and secondary school bus services, financial empowerment seminars, women's breakfast meeting, fund raising dance for a sickle cell charity as well as donating money to other charities. As we move towards our ninth anniversary in may 2013, I would personally like to thank all our Staff, Congregation, Volunteers and Partners for their hard work - you are exceptional!

I believe we are going to see our biggest push into various community projects in the new year. This is why I am dubbing 2013"our year of growth and reconstruction". We will be focusing on Growth because part of our vision is to disciple every member to full Christian maturity and equip them for a purposeful ministry around the world. I believe growth also demands Reconstruction because as we grow stronger, deeper and wider there will be the need to challenge some foundational issues and get every member involved in various community projects in order to fulfil our God-given mandate. For this and other reasons we will be strengthening our partnership with other churches and ministries with similar visions.

On an individual level, I think we all need to challenge ourselves by doing more to ensure we grow spiritually, emotionally, socially and financially. Every new year has it own challenges and I believe 2013 will not be any different from any other year unless we do something different make a year to remember!

So let me start by suggesting a few things to get you off to a good start.

Pray: make it your number one goal to pray daily, it opens a realm of possibilities.

Plan: develop your goals into a workable monthly plan. Nothing succeeds without a plan.

Purpose: don't do anything without a good reason. If you know why, you will persist.

Play: enjoy recreation activities like exercising, walking, sight seeing etc. on a monthly or weekly basis it is good for your health.
