Week 1&2: The Fat Belongs to the Lord

Joy Christian Centre has begun a four-week evangelism outreach under the theme, “The Fat Belongs to the Lord,” taken from Leviticus 3:16.

This first 2 weeks mark the beginning of a month of reaching out, sharing the Gospel and giving God our best through worship, service and obedience.

“The priest shall burn them on the altar as a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord. All the fat is the Lord’s.” Leviticus 3:16

What Does “The Fat Belongs to the Lord” Mean?

In the Old Testament sacrifice, the fat represented the richest and best portion of the offering, and it belonged to God.

The theme reminds us that God should not receive what is left over. He deserves the best of our time, gifts, energy, service and worship.

As a church, we are putting this message into action by committing four weeks to evangelism and reaching people within our community with the love and message of Jesus Christ.

Beginning the Outreach

During Week 1, members of Joy Christian Centre came together to pray, prepare and step out into the community.

The purpose of the outreach is to share the Gospel, invite people to church, pray with those in need and offer hope and encouragement through Jesus Christ.

This first week set the foundation for what we believe God will do throughout the rest of the outreach.

Giving God Our Best Through Evangelism

Evangelism is more than a church programme. It is an act of worship and obedience.

Every conversation, prayer, invitation and act of kindness can become an offering to God when it is done with a sincere heart.

During these four weeks, we are encouraging every member to consider how they can give God their best and take part in sharing the Gospel.

“God deserves the best of our time, gifts, service and worship.”

Over the coming weeks, we will continue to share photographs, testimonies, outreach highlights and stories of what God is doing through Joy Christian Centre.
